About “moemoe”

“moemoe” (Momo) is a brand that creates items with care,
prizing the texture of materials, their hues, the thrill of emotion which called ‘Tokimeki’ in Japanese,
and delicate handcrafting.

Each piece is made to order upon request,
striving to align as closely as possible with the customer's vision.

The main items are bags and underwear.

I prioritise both the comfort of the fabric against the skin and the design.

Designer

I have adored dolls since childhood,
and the first thing I ever sewed was a little negligee for a doll.
That original ‘love’ remains unchanged,
and I continue to be drawn to items with a slightly dreamy quality, the sort a doll might wear.

I formally studied dressmaking at a Bunka fashion college,

followed by work at apparel companies both in Japan and U.K.,

and then creating bespoke garments independently.

 

In 2024, marking my 20th year in clothes making,

I launched my own brand – which I'd always wanted to do.

Design, pattern-making, sewing, online shop management…

I continue to do it all myself, drawing on everything I've learned.
